Janice Kolber is a founding partner of this law firm. She is a graduate of
the University of Pennsylvania (B.A. 1971), Temple University School of Law (J.D. 1974),
and thereafter was a senior trial lawyer for the Southeastern Pennsylvania
Transportation Authority (SEPTA).
Since 1984, Janice has been a trial attorney in private practice, first in the
predecessor law firms of Daerr-Bannon & Kolber (1984 -1987), Kolber & Freiman,
and Kolber & Randazzo.
She is a courtroom litigator defending the spectrum of major personal injury,
toxic tort and construction lawsuits at jury and non jury forums. An additional
practice concentration is the litigation of contract disputes.
Janice tried the first case on behalf of Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation
Authority (SEPTA) before a Philadelphia jury in which a bus surveillance video came
into evidence. On behalf of the Philadelphia Housing Authority (PHA), Janice and
this law firm tried eleven lead based paint cases to verdict with favorable outcomes.
She regularly represents parties on behalf of insurers and self-insureds in major injury
lawsuits before Philadelphia County juries and at arbitration forums.
